Reno County has coordinated with the Hutchinson Vintage Base Ball Club and the Hutchinson Monarchs to create a special event: ‘Past to Present’ Baseball Night. This event will take place on July 13, 2024, starting at 5:15 pm at Hobart-Detter Field. This unique evening will feature a blend of historical and modern baseball, bringing the community together for a memorable experience.
Event Highlights:
- Vintage base Ball Exhibition: The night will kick off with a short exhibition game by our local vintage base ball reenactors, showcasing the charm and history of the sport.
- Hutchinson Monarchs Game: Following the exhibition, the Monarchs will play their regular game, offering a dynamic contrast between past and present.
- Sheriff Department Touch-a-Truck: The sheriff's department will have several vehicles on display for a touch-a-truck event.
- Youth Baseball Equipment Drive: We're organizing a youth baseball equipment drive and are seeking the support of local businesses to promote it.
