The Highlands

The Highlands became an incorporated third class city on July 26, 2017, the newest Kansas city in 65 years. The city limits encompass a section of land that is zoned low-density residential surrounding an 18-hole golf course. Originally developed in 1971 as Paganica Golf Course and Supper Club, it lies in a picturesque grassland area of the sand dunes on the Reno/Rice county line. The view from the high point in the clubhouse can be termed as breath taking. Distant elevators at McPherson, Inman, Moundridge, and Buhler are visible to the northeast and east.
