Cosmosphere's Dr. Goddard's Lab Reopens

Oct 25, 2016

A newly renovated Dr. Goddard’s Lab opened to the public yesterday, Oct 24, at the Cosmosphere. The lab closed in late August to undergo a number of updates. Some of the new features of the space include:

     • Completely renovated audience and presentation areas
     • Upgraded lighting with new fiber-optic star field
     • Installation of IP cameras to allow for remote presentations

“We’re really excited for the installation of IP cameras,” explains COO and President, Jim Remar. “This new technology will allow the Cosmosphere to transmit the exciting, live- science demonstrations, only seen before at the Cosmosphere, remotely to classrooms all over the world.”

The 45-minute show features explosive surprises and gives attendees a front seat to watch science in action.

Public shows happen each weekday at noon and 3 p.m. (subject to change upon private bookings). Private shows for student or visiting groups may be arranged by calling: 620.662.2305. Seating is limited.
